In order to assess the attitudes of Italian medical practioners towards deprescribing and address their awareness, experiences, problems in using these techniques and possible suggestions, we aimed to build up and verify a questionnaire, the Medical Attitudes Towards Deprescribing Questionnaire (MATD-Q). Between November 2017 and October 2018 an e-mail was provided for internists, geriatricians and general practitioners, to invite them to get in touch to a platform and reply to the questionnaire, consisting in 38 things (with a five level score) and five concerns. After 2-3 weeks, a moment e-mail had been sent for an extra conclusion for the questionnaire. Test-retest reliability had been examined by way of the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). The correlations between items were examined in the shape of Pearson linear correlation coefficients and Cronbach Alpha was utilized to evaluate internal persistence.
